WHAT IS IT?
Last summer (2025), we launched our first Fenix Theatre Young Company workshop and opening night pre-show performance of “O for muse of fire” from HENRY V. It was a hit! Portland Stage Company will, again, host this exciting program in conjunction with its Teen Shakespeare Camp, under the direction of Michael Dix Thomas, Portland Stage Education Director. We invite young actors to join us for a celebratory opening night kick-off to the Fenix summer season.
Help us as we bring Shakespeare’s words to life: this year Fenix Young Company will rehearse at Portland Stage from 3:30-4:30pm Monday July 6th through Thursday July 9th, with a performance on opening night of HENRY IV PART ONE in Deering Oaks Park on Thursday, July 9th at 6:20pm.
